...and it continued on until we got to Jen's house at 10:30. The theme was an 'Anne of Green Gables' tea party. We were supposed to come in fancy hats, scarves etc., but not really having anything like that we did what we could with ball caps and borrowed things...

 

After play group I took the kids to Vin's work so he could watch them while I went to the dentist. Now, I'm a big believer in regular maintenance so as to avoid a big overhaul at a future time, but I don't enjoy these regular maintenance trips. One of my biggest fears is that, as the dentist is drilling, I'll feel pain (a dentist would call this 'sensitivity') and would jump and the dentist's drill would slip off the tooth it was drilling and drill something it shouldn't. 

Some would say that I'm being overly paranoid.

I am not. 

And I have the swollen, cut lip to prove that I am not...

So, after the dentist Atticus had to get a haircut. The lady that cuts his hair has 7 cats so Atticus LOVES going there. The only way we can get him to sit still is give him a lollipop (about the only time he ever gets candy of any sort). 

 

And dad comes tomorrow! We are sooo excited! Next week the boys and I will take him to all our favorite kiddy hang-outs. And this Saturday (hopefully Vin will be done his workshop prep?)  we'll all try to get to the beach we frequent.
